The Goins Brothers

A brother bluegrass action shaped in 1953 by Melvin (b. Melvin Glen Goins, 30 Dec 1933, Bramwell, Western world Virginia, USA; electric guitar, bass fiddle, vocals, humor) and his sibling Ray (b. Ray Elwood Goins, 3 January 1936, Bramwell, Western world Virginia, USA; banjo, vocals). The Goins originated from a musical family members and was raised influenced with the main bluegrass works that played within their locality. In the past due 40s, Melvin was an associate from the Lonesome Pine Fiddlers and in 1951, he was became a member of in the music group by his 15 season old sibling. In 1952, they performed on RCA Victor recordings using the Fiddlers however the pursuing year, once the Fiddlers transferred to Detroit, they produced a trio with fiddler Joe Meadows. Their more youthful brother Conley later on became their bass participant and sometimes, Melvin’s wife, Willa and her three sisters, billed because the Woodettes, sang tranquility gospel numbers together.
