Louisville, KY’s the Glasspack was shaped in 1999 by singer/guitarist Dirty Dave Johnson, who quickly go about saving their debut recording American Exhaust for the Man’s Damage label. Unfortunately, stated label proceeded to go bankrupt in the entire year 2000, forcing the music group release a the recording via their very own Riverock Information, then perform the same with an EP known as Street Warriors before finally getting a fresh house at Detroit-based indie label Little Stone. Once resolved there, Johnson and his cohorts — guitarist Lil’ Bucky, organist Reverend, bassist Bobby Nova, and drummer the Cap’n — arranged to focus on their second full-length recording, which they called Powderkeg and unleashed in 2002.
