The Glands

Biography

Using the Athens, Georgia music scene getting national press from famous brands R.E.M. as well as the B-52’s, associates from the Glands understood that they wished to create something their hometown was known for. Therefore instead of getting a audio that resembled laid-back university rock and roll or wacked-out party rock and roll, users Ross Shapiro (vocals/ acoustic guitar) Joe Rowe (drums), Craig McQuiston (bass), Frank McDonald (acoustic guitar) and Doug Stanley (keyboards) formed even more of a darker, laid-back, brit-pop design that doesn’t mix the type of dismal or brooding. Club/None Records ultimately took a sparkle towards the Glands and released their 1997 debut entitled Dual Thriller. Capricorn released their self-titled second recording, which found its way to 2000.
