The Girl NEARBY is a Japan dance trio that mixes techno/home beats with typical optimistic J-pop melodies. Chisa Maekawa, the vocalist (she will go by just Chisa) started her display biz career like a dancer, rating a scholarship towards the Avex Designer Academy in 2005. Ultimately, she caught the attention of Utmost Matsuura, the label’s creator and an über-producer in charge of the stardom of Ayumi Hamasaki, and was granted a sanction to create a music group with Daisuke Suzuki, a songwriter along with a previous keyboard participant for Day time After Tomorrow. Guitarist Yuji Inoue became a member of immediately after.
