The Ginger Envelope

Folk-pop music group the Ginger Envelope had been shaped by Patrick Carey and pedal steel participant Matt Stoessel (who spent some time working with Southern San Gabriel, Summer Hymns, Dark Meat, and Don Chambers & GOAT) in Athens, GA, in 2003. Through the following year, they extended the group right into a quintet, adding three previous members from the Urbosleeks who experienced relocated to Athens from Lafayette, LA: Jason Robira (percussion), Jason Trahan (acoustic guitar), and Steve Miller (bass). (Robira maintains a dual regular membership in Dark Meats, and Miller can be in Venice Is usually Sinking.) The Ginger Envelope released their debut EP in 2004, pursuing having a full-length Compact disc, Edible Orchids, using one Percent Press on November 13, 2007. In 2008, Robira remaining the Ginger Envelope and was changed by Colin Carey, as Paul McHugh also became a member of on keyboards. One Percent released the group’s second recording, Invitation Air flow, on June 30, 2009.
