The Gentle Waves

The orchestral folk-pop from the Gentle Waves was primarily the brainchild of singer/songwriter Isobel Campbell, most widely known because the cellist and occasional vocalist for Scottish twee phenoms Belle and Sebastian. Documented using fellow B&S associates Stuart Murdoch, Richard Colburn, Chris Geddes, Mick Cooke, and Stevie Jackson following group’s 1998 U.S. tour, the Soft Waves’ debut LP Green Areas of Foreverland premiered on Jeepster Information the following springtime. Swansong for you personally was released in fall 2000.
