The G

Harking back again to ‘90s alternative rock and roll, lo-fi indie rock and roll group The G pool from Pavement, Hum, and Dinosaur Jr. to create shoutalongs that are wealthy with fuzz acoustic guitar and hyperactive drumming. In the middle-2000s, while operating 423 Tillery — an underground artwork space in Austin, Tx — Doug Foulk and Patrick Troxell began getting seriously into punk and garage area rock and roll. The two performed in a few rings apiece, and made a decision to relocate to Philadelphia. In 2008, they used the name The G and documented their first demonstration, Hidden in Basic Sight, with participant keyboardist/percussionist Nicky DiCicco. After almost a year of touring within the pumps of another EP, entitled This Brain and Motion World, DiCicco departed through the group to spotlight his solo task Stone Moron. Nicky’s sister (and Patrick’s wife), keyboardist Anna DiCicco, arrived on board to get the slack, along with second guitarist Pete Joe Urban. In ’09 2009, SHDWPLY Information released the four-piece’s debut, Keep My Gold.
