This NEW YORK group’s origins dated back again to the mid-’40s, if they were referred to as Deek Watson & the Dark brown Dots. Former Printer ink Areas member Watson, Pat Greatest, Jimmy Gordon, and Jimmie Nabbie had been the founding lineup. The Four Tunes produced their documenting debut for Regis in 1945. They do a program for Manor in 1946 because the Sentimentalists, minus Watson, with Danny Owens acquiring his place. Then they became the Four Music. Greatest and Watson’s structure “I REALLY LIKE You for Sentimental Factors” became a smash for Nat “Ruler” Cole and many various other performers, while Nabbie’s “YOU HAPPEN TO BE My Like” was popular for Jonie Wayne. The Four Tunes do score a set of triumphs themselves, with “Marie” peaking at number 2 around the R&B graphs (quantity 13 pop) in 1953 and “I AM AWARE Just How YOU ARE FEELING” learning to be a quantity seven R&B strike in 1954. It had been also their lone TOP pop solitary, peaking at quantity six. Both had been for Jubilee Information. The Sid Bass Orchestra supported them on both tunes. The Four Tunes continuing until 1963. Nabbie managed a solo profession heading an Printer ink Spots ensemble.
