The Folklords

Virtually there is nothing known concerning this Canadian-spawned trio, comprising Tom Martin (bass, vocals), Martha Johnson (vocals, autoharp) (who looked actually pretty and had not been the afterwards founder of Martha & the Muffins), and Paul Seip (guitar, vocals), except that they signed a contract with Allied Records in later 1967 or early 1968, which led to the recording of their just LP, Release sunlight. These were of a bit with such groupings as William St. Adam, or simply a stripped-down We Five, but evidently — relating to reissue annotator Vincent Tornatore (who do the digging) — they by no means rated a point out in virtually any Canadian publication. They sang pretty much, nevertheless, and their obscurity isn’t a representation of too little skill or a sellable audio.
