The FloatingHouse will be the duo of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Oba and soprano singer Naomi Weiss. Weiss (who has bass on the 2001 debut record), a classically educated singer focusing on the task of Bach, Handel, and Purcell, installed with songwriter Oba (who also has electric guitar, keyboards, and harmonica for the record); Oba can be a poet and released writer. On the debut CD, THE WORLD, they play crystalline folk-rock inspired by various types of classical and globe musics, with Weiss’s high tone of voice showing the impact of both folksingers and traditional vocalists.
