Biography
The New Shirt septet the Fins combine a number of different musical styles –R&B, golf swing, jazz, big band, and blues — into its varied and original sound. Produced in the first ’90s, the group instantly started playing live at many fundraisers in the brand new York tri-state region, and even produced a fan away from former President Costs Clinton because they played on the 1993 and 2000 Democratic conventions, in addition to Clinton’s 1993 inaugural gala in Landover, MD. The Fins possess issued a set of albums so far — 1997’s Bluesprint (that was voted “greatest debut Compact disc” with the worldwide blues magazine True Blues) and 2000’s Superstar. To get their sophomore discharge, the band made an appearance in the summertime of 2000 at such world-wide festivals because the Chicago Blues Celebration, Jamaica’s Ocho Rios Jazz and Blues Celebration, Norway’s Notodden Blues Celebration, Israel’s the Heineken Dark & Blues Celebration, and Ireland’s Harvest Blues Celebration. In addition, over time the Fins possess distributed the stage with such acclaimed performers as Albert Collins, Pal Man, John Lee Hooker, John Mayall, Otis Hurry, Clarence “Gatemouth” Dark brown, Robert Cray, Johnny Wintertime, and previous Rolling Rocks guitarist Mick Taylor.
