The Fiestas

The Fiestas’ career spanned almost 20 years, plus they came along at the same time when soul music was gaining prominence in the vocal group scene. Their biggest strike was 1959’s “Therefore Great,” which reached number 3 over the R&B graphs before crossing to amount 11 over the Sizzling hot 100. The Fiestas — business lead vocalist Tommy Bullock, Eddie Morris, Sam Ingalis, and Preston Street — had been originally from Newark, NJ. These were agreed upon to Old City by owner Hy Weiss in 1959 after he noticed the group performing “So Good” in the toilet following to his workplace (that was run out from the cloak space from the Triboro Theater on 125th Road and Third Avenue in Harlem).
