Albany, New York-based doo wop quintet the Fidelitys shaped in 1956 — based on Marv Goldberg’s profile on his www.group-harmony.com site, bass Earl Thorpe assembled the founding lineup soon after relocating from Jacksonville, FL. Thorpe’s cousin Emmitt Smith was designated lead responsibilities, with Clarence Carter and Robert McCann presuming the tenor places and Arthur Morning hours arriving aboard as baritone.
