A collaboration between 4 well-respected rock & roll mavericks, the Fauntleroys play music that’s simultaneously literate and streetwise, filled with big-city swagger and high-attitude guitars alongside lyrics that are smart, passionate, and tough at exactly the same time. The Fauntleroys feature Alejandro Escovedo, who was simply in Rank & Document and the real Believers before starting an effective solo profession, on vocals and bass; Ivan Julian, a guitarist known for his use Richard Hell, Matthew Nice, and Shriekback, on vocals and acoustic guitar; Nicholas Tremulis, a well known rock and roll and R&B designer who in addition has caused Keith Richards, Marianne Faithfull, and Ian Hunter, on acoustic guitar and vocals; and Linda Pitmon, of Zuzu’s Petals and Steve Wynn & the Wonder 3, on drums and vocals. Escovedo, Julian, and Tremulis had been longtime close friends who had just rarely crossed pathways artistically when Tremulis recommended they should gather at Julian’s NEW YORK recording studio room, N.Con. Hed, and focus on some tunes. Escovedo and Julian both recommended Pitmon will be a great choice to try out drums, and in early 2014 the four fulfilled at N.Con. Hed; four times later, that they had created and documented five original tunes, and also documented a raucous edition of the Amazing String Band’s “Chinese language White colored.” The foursome required the name the Fauntleroys honoring Escovedo, Julian, and Tremulis’ elegant flavor in clothes, as well as the group produced its live debut in the 2014 South by Southwest Music Meeting. The group struck a cope with Plowboy Information, a new impartial label founded by famous guitarist Cheetah Chromium, and the outcomes from the group’s first documenting sessions had been released as an EP, Below the Red Pony, in Sept 2014.
