The Family Stand

The Family members Stand includes Dallas, TX, native Sandra St. Victor, Jeffrey Smith, and Peter Lord, a indigenous New Yorker. Lord and Smith originally replied to Evon Jeffries & the Stand, and documented under that name 2 yrs prior to getting the Family members Stand. Though they will have three albums with their credit, their biggest popularity has result from “Guarantee of a fresh Time,” a tune co-written with Paula Abdul and sung with the former LA Lakers dancer. Jacci McGhee changed St. Victor on Connected, their most recent Compact disc, released in 1998. St. Victor still left to solo, developing Mack Diva Saves the planet on Warner Bros. The associates have used the top brands in rock and roll, Smith over the saxophone participant. Lord, a vocalist and keyboardist, gained a qualification in musical structure from Howard School and used bands in the D.C. region. Returning to NY, Lord teamed with Smith and created and composed for Miki Howard, the Macintosh Music group, Donna Allen, Great Fellaz, Will Downing, Corey Glover, and Ali, to mention a brief list. St. Victor went to the School of Kansas and examined classical music. Shifting to NY, she became popular being a vocalist on the highway and in the studio room dealing with Freddie Jackson, Roy Ayers, Chaka Khan, Nile Rodgers, Kashif, Glenn Jones, among others. The Family members Stand’s initial LP, Chain, created the one “Ghetto Heaven,” a popular in discos; non-e from the Atlantic LP’s various other music’ “Special Liberation,” “In Summer months I Falled,” “String,” or “Twisted,” broke out. Another LP, Moon in Scorpio, made an appearance on East Western world Records, but acquired too much rock and roll and not more than enough spirit for metropolitan listeners and didn’t register; they didn’t discharge another Compact disc until 1998, the very much ballyhooed Connected, on Elektra/Asylum Information. The album manages to lose the tripping acidity sound and delves greatly into the make of spirit that produced the ’70s musically fascinating. When it didn’t sell, Elektra released them at their insistence. Through the six years between albums, Lord and Smith added McGhee and focused on composing and producing. You shouldn’t be surprised when the Family members Stand rises once again, it’s hard to maintain an excellent, talented group straight down.
