Even though Estrada Brothers experienced their group for many years, it was not really until 1997 that that they had a chance to record for a significant jazz label. The music group were only available in the middle-’50s and was founded by Ruben, Henry and Angel Estrada. The brothers was raised in Oxnard, California and had been inspired from the jazz matches Latin music of Cal Tjader, Stan Kenton and Tito Puente. Ruben (who originally performed trumpet and drums) takes on vibes in the design of Tjader while Henry takes on saxophones and flute; Angel remaining the music group in the 1970s. Raul Rico Jr. became the group’s percussionist in 1976 and in 1986 the group solidified with the help of Ruben’s child Cougar on drums, pianist Joe Rotondi, Jr. and bassist Malcom Ian Peters. In 1995, the music group finally produced its first documenting, About Time on the Rumba Jazz label. The achievement of that Compact disc led to Milestone putting your signature on the Estrada Brothers and documenting Escape My Method in 1997.
