The Enfields

In 1966, this Wilmington, DE, group released one of the better garage area rock singles, “She Currently Has Somebody,” a moody, melodic original on par with the very best efforts with the Zombies. Led by guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Ted Munda, these were popular within their area and totally unidentified elsewhere, releasing several singles on a little local label. It may look like a slender legacy, however the group’s result stands significantly above typical from the hundreds of various other comparable American local garage bands of that time period, due mainly to Munda’s great melodic songwriting, intensely influenced not merely with the Zombies but with the Beatles and Beau Brummels. In 1967, Munda produced Friends from the Family members, who explored jazzier and even more progressive directions, leading to some interesting materials.
