The Electric Pop Group

Brothers Martin and Erik Aamot formed the Electric powered Pop Group in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2005. Formulating a shambly, jangly, supremely laid-back audio that nodded to old-school twee pop groupings just like the Field Mice as well as the Orchids, the duo’s self-titled debut premiered in the wintertime of 2006. Jimmi Thunholm and Gustaf Murman had been brought in to the fold immediately after to be able to circular out the group’s live audio. The Electric powered Pop Group had been purchased by Matinee immediately after the band’s initial album surfaced, and their debut EP on that label, Sunrise, arrived in the springtime of 2008.
