The Eden Project

The Eden Task was the initial moniker of Jonathon Ng, an Irish multi-instrumentalist and EDM producer. His tunes fused components of dubstep and drum’n’bass with heartfelt, melancholy songwriting. As a kid, Ng was classically qualified like a violinist, and he ultimately taught himself to try out acoustic guitar, piano, and drums. He started releasing tunes as the Eden Task in 2013, with debut EP I Am Spitfire arriving in 2014. Further EPs Kairos, Entry, and Bipolar Sunlight discovered him venturing into even more of an alternative solution rock design than dance music. He caused rapper Ato Alexander beneath the name ATO X EDEN, and he also collaborated with New York-based maker Puppet on two monitors released by EDM label Monstercat. 2015’s Last Call (including addresses of Taylor Swift’s “Empty Space” and Beyonc√©’s “Crazy in Like”) was Ng’s last discharge as the Eden Task before he shortened his alias to merely EDEN.
