The Echocentrics

Austin-based psych outfit the Echocentrics may be the project of Grammy-winning producer and musician Adrian Quesada, whose Latin-flavored rock and funk are also noticed in his various other bands, Grupo Fantasma, Brownout, and Ocote Soul Sounds. Motivated by his like for ’60s and ’70s Latin funk and spirit, Quesada began creating a group of psych-leaning paths that were distributed to Argentinian vocalist Natalia Clavier and Brazilian vocalist Tita Lima. This lengthy distance multi-cultural cooperation led to 2011’s Sunshadows record, which combined a distinctly Texan strategy with cinematic Latin funk. Quesada’s follow-up, Echo Resort, found its way to 2016 and was once again augmented vocal efforts from both Clavier and Liman aswell as fellow Austinites Wayne Petralli (White colored Denim, Bop British) and Alex Maas (the Dark Angels).
