The Dynamites

Neo-soul and deep funk music group the Dynamites were founded by songwriter/guitarist Costs Elder, using the stage name Leo Dark, in Nashville, the group portion being a backup music group for veteran singer Charles “Wigg” Walker, a performer in his sixties who was simply performing because the past due ’50s. (All of those other lineup included organists Tyrone Dickerson and Charles Treadway; a horn section comprising Jon-Paul Frappiér on trumpet and saxophonists Jonathan Jackson and Chris Western world; and the tempo portion of bassist Affluent Brinsfield, percussionist Chris Patterson, and drummer Derrek Phillips.) Dark wrote the tracks for the Dynamites’ debut record, Kaboom!, that was released on his label, Outta View Information, in June of 2007. Burn off It Down implemented in ’09 2009. The 3rd Walker/Dynamites collaboration, Appreciate IS Everything, made an appearance by 2012, having a duet with Bettye LaVette on “Yours & Mine.”
