The Dub Funk Association

Inspired from the root base reggae and dub experts of Jamaica, the Dub Funk Association includes the talents of the varied band of funk, dub, reggae and hip-hop producers. With users hailing from Britain, holland and Australia, the collective music consortium is constantly on the explore the fusion of the diverse selection of music. Based on the collective’s innovator, Kelvin Richards, “We consider hip-hop breaks, trance melodies, jazz phrasing and reggae sonics and attitude and we make dub.” The child of immigrants from your Dominican Republic, Richards launced the Dub Funk Association, in 1991, as an effort to duplicate the audio systems’ mixture of reggae and funk. Dealing with Tanty Information, the collective offers created three dance-inspiring albums, IMPROVE THE Dub in 1993, Spirits UNDER GREAT PRESSURE in 1996 and Seems FROM THE Heavyweight in 1999, and some EPs. Moving towards the T.P. Information label, they released their 4th recording, The Pendulum Edition in past due-1999.
