The Drive

Among the initial Scottish punk rings with an impact beyond its immediate community, Dundee’s the Travel lined up while Gus McKenzie (vocals), Ron Neish (acoustic guitar), Bob Phillips (acoustic guitar), Roger Patterson (bass), and Ron Jack port (drums). Their debut solitary, “Jerkin’,” made an appearance around the NRG label in August 1977, written by the Edinburgh-based Focus label, but despite great reviews and affordable sales, the music group released nothing at all else, and split up prior to the end of the entire year. “Jerkin'” consequently reappeared on Beggars Banquet’s acclaimed Roads compilation of important independent rarities.
