Led by guitarist Jim Dickinson and former Jerry Lee Lewis guitarist Charlie Freeman, the Dixie Flyers had been among the busiest session sets of the first ’70s. Building their early popularity with performances on recordings by Billy Lee Riley, Johnny Hallyday, Hank Ballard, Bettye LaVette, and Albert Collins, the group reached its top as resident music group at Atlantic Information’ Criteria Documenting Studio room in Miami, Florida.
