Biography

The Deluxtone Rockets formed in Michigan in 1996 being a punk music group, but quickly switched their style to coincide using the golf swing and rockabilly revivals then in fashion. The initial lineup highlighted vocalist/guitarist John Dark brown (aka Johnny “The Ace” Rocketti), upright bassist Jimmy “Dicey” Truck Boxel, and drummer Jason “J.J.” Sorn; trumpeter Tim “Tahoe” Harvell was added immediately after. The group’s eponymous debut record premiered in 1999.
