The Dead Trees

Originally hailing from Boston, MA, the Deceased Trees and shrubs combine alt-country strains having a back-to-basics method of rock & roll. The music group formed in Dec 2006, when longtime close friends Matthew Borg (acoustic guitar), Noah Rubin (drums), Tad Dahlhoff (bass), and Michael Ian Cummings (vocals/acoustic guitar) convened to record many tracks that Cummings wrote. After spending fourteen days inside a Massachusetts cellar, they emerged using the Fort Music EP. Pleased with the resulting disk, the music artists banded collectively as the Deceased Trees, drawn up stakes in Boston, and relocated to Portland, OR. The EP was ultimately released in early 2008, as well as the music group increased its group of fans by becoming a member of Albert Hammond, Jr. on the national tour. Ruler of Rosa, the Deceased Trees’ proper studio room debut, then found its way to October 2008.
