The Dagons

The psychedelic indie pop duo the Dagons began playing their make of lo-fi rock music in the past due ’90s. Guitarist and vocalist Karie Jacobson and drummer Drew Kowalski fulfilled in the Bay region and started jamming together, after that soon dropped in like and became a few. In 1999, after shifting to LA, the ocean-obsessed Dagons (called for the Philistines’ half-human, half-fish god) released their home-recorded debut The Additional Ending independently Dead Ocean Captain label. Tooth for Pearls adopted in November of 2003, sounding just like a noisier, country-gothic Defeat Happening using the vocals of Heavenly, and minimalist Gypsy-influenced drumming. Regardless of the lo-fi audio, the record includes a exclusive, otherworldly experience which provides a sprawling, surreal quality towards the genre of indie rock and roll.
