As the Briefs took a protracted hiatus in 2007, retro-punk frontman Steve E. Nix continuing his exploration of spunky melody-driven songcraft by starting the Cute Lepers. Stevie Kicks, also from the Briefs, became a member of his longtime bandmate on bass, while guitarist Zache In fact and drummer Josh Blisters finished the group’s instrumental lineup. Wishing to inject their mixture of English punk and power pop with traces of doo wop and old-time rock and roll & move, the Cute Lepers also opened up their doorways to a set of singularly called backup performers, Meredith and Prisilla. The music group then issued many 7″ singles before putting your signature on with Blackheart Information, an American label possessed by hard rock and roll experienced Joan Jett. A Western deal with Broken Goods followed, as well as the Cute Lepers produced their full-length debut with 2008’s DISLIKE Modern Music.
