The music group, with variant in personnel, continuing to try out on theOpry, and efforts were manufactured in the 60s to persuade them to seem at folk celebrations. Herman was still moving cigars and got no fascination with touring or to make records. They do record one part of an recording for Starday in 1962. Noted historian Charles K. Wolfe structured a Rounder Information session but also for some cause, Herman found ways to avoid carrying it out. Eventually, the fatalities of a lot of old-time musicians led to the remaining people from the Possum Hunters as well as the Crook Brothers merging as one music group, which continued to try out on theOpry until Herman Crook passed away in 1988.
