The Cringe

THE BRAND NEW York-based rock quartet the Cringe were formed by singer/songwriter/guitarist John Cusimano, guitarist Robb Levin, bassist Matt Capabilities, and drummer Shawn Pelton in the first 2000’s and released their debut album, Scratch the top, on Listen Information in 2003. Their follow-up, Tipping Stage, adopted in 2007, and, Levin was changed by guitarist Wayne Rotondi (Air flow, Mr. Bungle) and Capabilities by bassist Jonny Matias (Crash Moderns). With the brand new lineup set up, the Cringe shipped their third LP, Play Thing, in June 2010, adopted two years later on by Concealing in Plain View. Their mixture of weighty alt-rock and melodic power pop offers gained them support slot machines with rings like Cheap Technique, NY Dolls, and Mötley Crüe, the second option of whom pegged the Cringe to become the openers on the last tour in 2014. Dealing with manufacturer Don Gilmore (Linkin Recreation area, Teach), they documented their fifth record, Blind Place which found its way to late 2015.
