The Crêpes

By all accounts, 2008 was fairly busy 12 months for Studio’s Dan Lissvik — furthermore to focusing on numerous remixes, his creation credits included Used by Trees and shrubs’ sophomore album, East of Eden, and Lake Heartbeat’s debut, Rely upon Numbers. Regardless of all of this, Lissvik were able to reserve a little bit of time to synergy using the Embassy’s Fredrik Lindson on a fresh task, the Crêpes. Borrowing from your shambly, jangly, and introspective sensibilies from the C-86 period — and especially from acts just like the Pastels as well as the Field Mice — the duo come up with its eight-track debut mini-album, What Else?, inside a whirlwind eight-day program. A limited-edition vinyl fabric printing from the recording arrived via Information Information in the first summer time of 2009; an electronic version from the recording was offered a couple weeks later.
