The Conscience Pilate

Formed in Apr 1995 by Edward Pond and Joseph Moran, this Toronto-area group joined pushes with Neil Leyton and Stacey Straye to become force over the Canadian indie scene. Known because of their high-energy shows and D.We.Y. school of thought, the music group received wide acclaim and compliment, including starting for the Manic Road Preachers throughout their 1996 Canadian tour. A debut record, The Weekend Refugees, garnered compliment and made a lot of Toronto’s year-end greatest lists. But some lineup changes plus some issues with their label compelled the band’s early demise. Straye and Fish-pond went on to become listed on another Toronto glam music group, Robin Dark & the Intergalactic Rock and roll Stars. Leyton loves a solo profession and provides his very own music label, Fading Methods Music.
