Another of Gary Usher’s myriad in-name-only studio room groups, the Rivals officially released 1 album, Strikes of the road and Remove, on Dot Information in 1963. Using experienced L.A. program players, and sometimes managing the vocals by himself, Usher churned out an extraordinary selection of singles and LPs by assorted faux browse and hot pole groups through the peak many years of the browse boom, which went approximately from 1963 through 1965.
