The Children’s Hour

The Children’s Hour is a folk-rock duo made up of Josephine Foster and Andy Pub. The two have already been honing a processed, passionate indie rock and roll style since middle-2002 whenever a shared friend presented Foster, an opera college dropout from Colorado, to Club, a skill Institute of Chicago graduate from Cleveland. They used the indie rock and roll trio Golden Egg for a short while, but opted to accomplish things their method. They had taken their name, the Children’s Hour, from a Henry Wadsworth Longfellow poem and performed clubs around the suburbs of Chicago that summer months. Within a couple of months, Foster prepared to go to Portland to flee city life. Fortunately, a chance ending up in Minty Clean owner Jim Power held her from doing this. The Children’s Hour documented a self-titled EP at St. Gregory’s Cathedral and Zwan guy Billy Corgan got a your hands on it. Corgan was therefore impressed using the band’s bittersweet, spry audio, he previously the Children’s Hour open up for Zwan on the initial American tour. John Peel off even caught hype and highlighted them on BBC Radio One before Xmas. IN-MAY 2003, the Children’s Hour produced their full-length debut with SOS JFK.
