Australian hard rockers the Casanovas were originally shaped in 1999 by brothers Tommy (vocals/guitar) and Patrick Boyce (drums) with bassist Jimmy Lewis, whose huge selection of retro-school influences included Kiss, the Dictators, the Rolling Rocks, Turbonegro, and undoubtedly the ubiquitous AC/DC. The trio lost short amount of time in rehearsal prior to starting to open up shows for competent acts like Natural powder Monkeys, the Monarchs, and also the White colored Stripes (after that undertaking their 1st tour of Australia) around their indigenous Mebourne. Next year or two, the Casanovas experienced cut their 1st solitary, “10 Outta 10,” added second guitarist Wayne Saunders, and performed within the legendary WEDDING DAY Out Festival. Pursuing Saunders’ departure in 2002, they partnered with maker Shane O’Mara to record their debut EP, Maintain It Hot, after that headed from the street across Australia (and beyond, with engagements within the U.K. with Austin, TX, for the SXSW event, etc.) with fresh vocalist/bassist Damo Campbell (ex-Mustang). Upon time for Australia, and making use of their notoriety today reaching international amounts, the Casanovas surely got to focus on their eponymous debut, and duly shipped an extraordinary slab of ’70s-fueled hard rock and roll — despite shedding a burned-out Patrick Boyce midway through and changing him using the colorfully called Jaws Stanley. Even more extensive world-wide touring implemented, and 2005 discovered the music group in LA, recording their up to now unreleased sophomore album with manufacturer Sylvia Massy Shivy (Device, Econoline Crush, Dishwalla, etc.).
