Emerging in the same Oxford, England pop scene which also yielded Radiohead and Supergrass, the Candyskins had been produced in 1989 by frontman Nick Manage, his guitarist sibling Indicate, lead guitarist Nick Burton, bassist Karl Shale and drummer John Halliday. Debuting with the united kingdom hit one “Submarine Melody,” the group was shortly agreed upon by Geffen, which released their LP THE AREA I’m In in 1990; Fun? implemented in 1993, however the Candyskins’ main label tenure was generally disappointing, and 2 yrs later they agreed upon with the United kingdom label Best.
