The Cancer Conspiracy

Called after an alleged plot by members from the medical community to reduce an end to cancer to be able to maintain the healthcare industry, the Burlington, VT, instrumental rock and roll trio the Tumor Conspiracy shaped in 2000 and includes Brent Frattini on bass; Greg Beadle on drums, keyboards, and saxophone; and Daryl Rabidoux on acoustic guitar. Aside from their attention-grabbing name, the trio could be perhaps most obviously for playing what’s essentially today’s type of ’70s intensifying rock (apparently influenced by performers such as Ruler Crimson, Brian Eno, and Red Floyd) and directing it toward the punk/hardcore community. A minimum of, that scene is definitely where the music group members result from, and that is the picture with which Big Steering wheel Entertainment, the label that released their 1st full-length, 2002’s The Sound Medium, is definitely most associated. Ahead of that recording, the Tumor Conspiracy self-released an eponymous debut EP in 2001, that was eventually found for distribution by Big Steering wheel as well.
