Equipped with an 80’s electronic tools which includes a Juno 60, Moog Opus 3, Korg Mono/Poly, and a Yamaha Polyphonic, San Francisco’s The Calculators reveal upon the times of 80’s brand-new wave compared to Devo, Pleasure Department and Kraftwork -without the bad haircuts. By adding guitars, drums and robotic vocals that finish their audio, The Calculators self-released their first record Circut Breaking Silence in 1998. Detroit’s Spectator Information took a glow to their audio and followed using the discharge of Simpleness and Design EP another year.
