The Brought Low

Brooklyn, New York’s the Brought Low formed in 1999 and originally featured vocalist/guitarist Benjamin Howard Smith, bassist Dean Rispler, and drummer Nick Heller. The trio produced its documented debut in 2001 using a self-titled record (released by Tee Pee Information) that boasted an antique design of ’70s hard rock and roll abundant with both American and United kingdom motivation; the Brought Low after that parted firm with Rispler and welcomed brand-new bass participant Robert Russell in 2003. Another 3 years would move, however, prior to the Brought Low shipped their sophomore record, the sardonically called Right on Period, which introduced more powerful blues affects and resulted in improved touring activity. This year 2010, the aptly entitled Third Record surfaced through Small Rock (as got its forerunner), this time around displaying a particular Southern rock and roll obsession amid the group’s constant heavy rock and roll foundation.
