The Broadways

Following the 1996 breakup of Chicago ska-punk legends Slapstick, Brendan Kelly (bass, vocals) and Dan Hanaway (trumpet, guitar, vocals) met up with ex-Tricky Dick guitarist Chris McCaughan (guitar, vocals) and Rob DePaola (drums) to create the Broadways. Using the motivation of politically billed lyrics more than a history of pop-punk, evaluations to Fifteen, Crimpshrine, and Jawbreaker adopted, as their very own Bike Information released the band’s 1997 debut EP, EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT CAN BE DONE It. Carrying out a putting your signature on with Asian Guy Information, their second EP (Big Town) and first recording (Broken Celebrity) had been released, prior to the Broadways split up in 1998. Another 12 months, Asian Man Information released the collection recording Broken Van; in the mean time, McCaughan and Kelly shifted to start out the Lawrence Hands and Hanaway and DePaola created the Honor Program.
