The Braxton Brothers

The San Francisco-based clean jazz duo of twin brothers Nelson (bass) and Wayne Braxton (saxophone) first took shape when both siblings joined the institution band through the fourth grade. By senior high school, each was a perennial person in the California All-State Honor Music group; while Wayne continued to Cal Condition Northridge, carrying out as an associate from the school’s celebrated Jazz A Band, Nelson rather analyzed tuba at SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA State University, later on touring Europe within the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Symphony Youngsters Orchestra. The brothers had been later on reunited at SFSU, collaborating there inside a jazz quartet; these were also both honored as choices towards the Disney All-American collegiate music group. Upon turning professional, Nelson toured with Najee, while Wayne caused Sheila E.; because the Braxton Brothers, they debuted in 1996 with Steppin’ Out, that was originally released in the small Kokopelli label but afterwards certified for reissue by Windham Hill, where it produced the NAC smash “When Like Shows up Around.” Today and Forever implemented in 1999.
