The Boondock Saints

It isn’t only a coincidence the Boondock Saints talk about their name using the title of the Tarantino-esque 1999 indie actions film. Business lead vocalist/guitarist Troy Duffy also published and aimed that flick, that was shot right before the music group began documenting their debut recording, Launch the Hounds. Duffy and his sibling Taylor (acoustic guitar/vocals) created the music group in LA after developing up in New Britain and relocating to Colorado, where Troy went to Colorado State University or college. Drummer Jimmy Jackson ultimately adopted the Duffys to LA from New Britain, as well as the lineup was ultimately curved out by bassist Gordon Clark. Pursuing conclusion of The Boondock Saints, the music group went right into a Boston studio room with suppliers Ron St. Germain and Jeff “Skunk” Baxter to record Launch the Hounds. The recording premiered in early 2000, musically dropping somewhere within melodic hard rock and roll and a much less relentlessly introspective make of post-grunge, with some alternate metal crunch tossed in.
