The Books’ story began in 2000, when Nick Zammuto and Paul de Jong met through a pal in NEW YORK. Sharing similar passions but differing backgrounds in acoustic music and discovered audio, Zammuto and de Jong experimented and plunked apart with a variety of melody, consumer electronics, and ethereal atmospherics. Ultimately, with some urging by Tom Steinle of Tomlab Information, they developed what would become their debut record, Idea for Meals, in 2002. In just a season, the Books relocated to Popular Springs, NC, and documented and released The Lemon of Green. With a whole lot of advantageous person to person and critical hype through the first two information, the Books relocated once again in the wintertime of 2004 and documented in an outdated Victorian house in North Adams, MA. These periods culminated using the discharge of Shed and Safe and sound in Apr of 2005, their third record for Tomlab. The music group basically disappeared within the years that implemented, until launching a brief tour within the fall of 2009. Their 4th album, WAY TO AVOID IT, premiered by brand-new label Temporary Home in July 2010.
