The Boogie Kings

A South Louisiana swamp pop staple through the 1950s and ’60s, the Boogie Kings reformed in 1991 and found their regional support as healthy as ever (even back again on a single label they began with, Floyd Soileau’s Jin Information). Founders Doug Charles, Elbert Miller, and Neglect Morris got departed, but with Duane Yates fronting, the Kings still pumped out fulfilling swamp soul.
