The Blues Image

The Blues Picture was a one-hit wonder Latin-tinged pop/rock music group, that one hit getting “Trip Captain Trip,” which made the very best Ten and sold a million copies in 1970. The group was produced in Tampa, FL, in 1966 by Michael Pinera (b. Sept 29, 1948, Tampa, FL) (electric guitar, vocals), Manuel Bertematti (b. 1946, Tampa, FL) (percussion), and Joe Lala (b. Tampa, FL) (drums). Malcolm Jones (b. Cardiff, Wales) (bass) became a member of in 1966, implemented in 1968 by Frank “Neglect” Konte (b. Canyon Town, Fine) (keyboards). The music group moved to NEW YORK in 1968 and maintained a club known as the Picture. Then they transferred to LA, where they agreed upon to Atlantic Information’ Atco department in Feb 1969, and released their self-titled debut record. This was accompanied by Open up (1970), which presented “Trip Captain Trip.” However the Blues Picture never adopted their strike. Pinera left, changed by Kent Henry (acoustic guitar) and Dennis Correll (vocals). Then your Blues Picture broke up. Another album, Red White colored & Blues Picture, was put together from outtakes. Miss Konte became a member of Three Dog Night time, while some additional band users reformed as Manna. Pinera later on was an associate of Iron Butterfly, after that Ramatam, and, with Bertematti, the brand new Cactus Music group. He also created a band known as Thee Picture and worked like a single designer. Lala became a LA session participant and caused Joe Walsh and the many manifestations of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Youthful, among others.
