The Blue Moon Guys, featuring lead vocalist Nic Roulette, harken back again to the hipster sounds from the 1950s. While rooted within the rockabilly custom, the Indiana-based quartet includes elements of golf swing, R&B and punk rock and roll to make a exclusive, hard-driving, audio. The Blue Moon Guys, who feature Kenny Taylor (electric guitar, vocals), Nic Roulette (lead vocals), Jumpin’ Jerry Sparkman (bass, vocals) and Flava P. Coltrane (drums, vocals), also show up on the melody, “Barbed Wire Betty ON THE Bar-B-Q” on rockabilly pioneer Ronnie Dawson’s record, More NEGATIVE TRAITS. They came back in early 2000 with Sticks and Rocks.
