PT Walkley may be the songwriting engine that drives the Blue Coats, a one-man task includes a rotating ensemble of music artists. With Walkley’s careful contact, the Blue Coats create an earnest, country-tinged indie rock and roll suitable for enthusiasts of Wilco, Golden Smog, and Pete Yorn. (Walkley, who’s also known for fronting the brand new York City rock and roll act Monitor Rabbit, in addition has composed tracks for movies by movie director/professional Ed Melts away.) The Blue Coats’ debut record, Shadows of the town, was released through the Fall of 2006.
