The Black Swan Effect

A collaboration between Reef drummer Dominic Greensmith and singer/songwriter Gareth Hale, England’s Dark Swan Effect focus on nervy and expressive, shape-shifting alt-rock in the vein of acts like Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Kings of Leon, and Alt-J. Longtime close friends, Greensmith and Hale experienced played collectively 15 years ahead of towards the group’s inception, with Greensmith heading on to talk about the stage with famous brands Peter Gabriel, Mick Jones, and Ray Davies, and Hale deciding on a career beyond music. Both reconvened in 2012 after Greensmith’s movie director wife asked these to compose music for any documentary, and after a brief period of your time, it became obvious that there is more material becoming produced than was required. The recently minted music group, which by this time around also included Jesse Solid wood and John Hogg, ultimately inked a cope with Gabriel’s REAL LIFE Records on the effectiveness of their “Culture of Sound” membership series, and released their debut record, Entrance, in 2013.
