Biography
The Dark Neon (aka Stephen Webster) had already performed and released recordings on Memphis Sectors with Toby Jenkins beneath the name Fort Lauderdale. Nevertheless, his solo efforts under the Dark Neon moniker produced their documenting debut around the 2001 Memphis Sectors 7″ solitary “You’re Therefore Vain.” The follow-up 12″, “Your Sex Existence,” premiered a year later on and was fulfilled with great excitement by synth pop and golf club enthusiasts. Following a four-year hiatus, he released Arts & Crafts in Sept of 2006, which features visitor shows from such psychedelic/prog rock and roll luminaries as Falk U. Rogner (Amon Düül), Harald Grosskopf (Ash Ra Tempel), and Yasuhiro Otani.
