The Bitters

Nausea a wall structure of appear spanning the rock and roll era, featuring components of ’60s girl teams, no wave, shoegaze, indie rock and roll, grunge, and modern electro-pop, the Bitters quickly gained their reputation as you of Toronto’s most interesting live bands. Fundamentally the duo of vocalist/percussionist Aerin Fogel and multi-instrumentalist Ben Make (ex-Young Governors) using a spinning cast of helping players, the action revealed its disarming concoctions in 2008. The Bitters released a debut 7″ on Captured Monitors the following calendar year. Fogel’s vocals alternating between Exene Cervenka’s punk posturing and Harriet Wheeler’s sensitive attraction while she and Make hoisted up every musical technique lacking banging on your kitchen sink, the set were among the breakout strikes of 2010’s South by Southwest celebration in Austin, TX.
